Love is not the driving force here, but rather a lack of assertiveness from the supposed master.

    The portrayal of "punishments" is weak, such as silent sex, which essentially becomes a form of pampering rather than discipline. The story fails to explore the deeper, more intense aspects of the slave/master dynamic, opting for a mundane and unadventurous scenario that could easily be replicated with mutual consent without any legal repercussions.

    The slave's rights are portrayed as extensive, with mild "punishments" like watching them masturbate or gentle roughness.
